That experience taught us that the best trading environments aren’t just built around products or platforms, but around people, infrastructure, and standards.
We created Aralyx to give serious traders access to that environment: structured support, institutional infrastructure, and a performance driven culture. It draws on the parts of professional trading that matter most, combining guided development and proximity to experienced traders with a peer group working through the same stage of their trading careers.

Patrick Breen
Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder
Patrick Breen has been trading financial derivatives since 2012. Beginning in futures, he later expanded across multiple financial products and time frames. His trading style is primarily high volume intraday scalping, with a focus on macro events, headlines, and high volatility environments. Combining market experience with disciplined risk, timing, and execution, Patrick leads Aralyx’s overall direction as Chief Executive Officer and co-founder, helping shape the firm’s trading standards, trader development model, and long term strategy.
Shane Hughes
Chief Operating Officer & Co-Founder
Shane Hughes has over 6 years of experience across financial markets, including 3 years in operations at Merrill Lynch. His experience spans trading operations, infrastructure, systems, and the practical processes required to support a professional trading environment. As Chief Operating Officer and co-founder, Shane is responsible for Aralyx’s day-to-day operations, platform delivery, and operational backbone, ensuring traders have the systems, structure, and support needed to operate at a professional level from day one.
Stephen Langan
Head of Trading & Co-Founder
Stephen Langan has been trading proprietary futures markets since 2013, developing expertise in outright directional and spread strategies across a broad range of asset classes. He has been closely involved in mentoring junior traders throughout his career. As Head of Trading and co-founder, he leads the trading floor, overseeing trading activity day to day in close coordination with risk management, and is responsible for the firm’s trader development programme.
Frankie Kek
Chief Risk Officer
Frankie Kek has been working in financial markets since 2015, with years of experience overseeing risk for multiple seven and eight figure traders. His expertise spans trader performance, risk management, and the operational controls needed to sustain a high performance trading environment. As Chief Risk Officer, Frankie is responsible for Aralyx’s risk framework, ensuring traders operate with discipline, consistency, and clear accountability across the firm.
Steve Ward
Performance Partner
Steve Ward is a performance consultant who has spent over two decades working with traders and portfolio managers at leading hedge funds, banks, commodities trading houses, energy trading companies, and proprietary trading firms across the globe, helping them to achieve and sustain high performance at the elite level. As Aralyx’s Performance Partner he is focused on the design and delivery of processes, training and support that enhance trader development and performance.
Stephen G. Hills
Advisor
Stephen G. Hills is a highly experienced derivatives and equity trading professional with over 45 years in financial markets. During his career, he has held senior leadership, trading, and board-level positions within UK regulated firms, developing extensive expertise in client relationship management, clearing, compliance, risk management, and strategic growth. As Advisory Consultant, Stephen provides guidance on account structures, operational efficiency, regulatory matters, and business development strategies.
